Dress Code

Dress code is a very important part of being able to provide the best dance education. Students MUST be in approved dress code in order to participate in each class.

Tiny Ballet: Hair must be in a neat low bun. Pink leotards, Pink tights/nude, pink/nude ballet slippers, black tap shoes. Students may also add tutus & ballet skirts or sweaters if desired. (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings or tights, white fitted t-shirt or tank top, black ballet slippers, and black tap shoes).

Ballet I: Hair must be in a neat low bun. Light Blue leotards, pink/nude tights, pink/nude split-sole ballet slippers, Students may add ballet sweaters, skirts and/or leg warmers for part of class, but be prepared to remove. (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings or tights, white fitted t-shirt or tank top, black ballet slippers)

Ballet II/III: Hair must be in a neat low bun. Maroon/Burgundy leotards, nude/pink tights, pink/nude split-sole ballet slippers. Students may add ballet sweaters, skirts and/or leg warmers for part of class, but be prepared to remove. (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings, white fitted t-shirt or tank top, black ballet slippers).

Ballet IIII+/Pointe: Hair must be in a neat low bun. Black leotards, nude/pink tights, pink/nude split-sole slippers (or pointe shoes). Students may add ballet sweaters, skirts and/or leg warmers for part of class, but be prepared to remove. (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings, white fitted t-shirt or tank top, black ballet slippers).

Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Afro, Latin Fusion : Leotards, dance shorts, leggings, sports bras, tank tops, fitted crop tops, etc…are acceptable. Tights are (optional but must be “convertible or stirrup”). No baggy clothing (shorts included). (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings, tank top).

Acro/ Tumbling: Hair must be in a neat low bun. Leotards, dance shorts, leggings, sports bras, tank tops, fitted crop tops, etc…are acceptable. Tights are (optional but must be “convertible or stirrup”). No baggy clothing (shorts included). (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings, tank top).

Tap: Comfortable dance attire. No pants that drag on the floor and no jeans. Feet must be visible. Black or Nude lace up or Slip on Flat taps. NO velcro or tie tap shoes allowed.

Hip-Hop: Either street-wear that you can move/stretch/bend VERY comfortably in or dance wear. Suggestions: Dance shorts, dance pants, sweat pants, joggers, sports bras, tank tops, crop tops, etc…Shoes should be sneakers/tennis shoes or shoes approved by your instructor. They are solely to be worn for the dance and not the streets.

Musical Theatre: Either clothes that you can move/stretch/bend comfortably in or dance wear. All musical theatre students should also wear EITHER jazz shoes or character shoes.

Stretching & Conditioning, Leaps & Turns, Acro: Hair must be in a neat low bun. Leotards, dance shorts, leggings, sports bras, tank tops, fitted crop tops, etc…are acceptable. Tights are (optional but must be “convertible or stirrup”). (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings, tank top).
